Bài luận mẫu Band 8.5+ (Model Essay)
The table compares how average households in Vietnam and Japan allocated their monthly budgets across five expenditure categories in 2026.
Overall, Food and Housing accounted for more than half of total household spending in both nations. However, while Vietnamese families devoted the largest share of their income to Food and placed a notably higher emphasis on Education, Japanese households spent the highest proportion on Housing and Utilities.
Looking first at essential living costs, Food and Dining represented the single largest expense for Vietnamese households at 32%—nearly one-third of their entire budget—compared to just 21% in Japan. Conversely, Housing and Utilities claimed the top spot in Japan at 31%, exceeding Vietnam’s figure of 24% by seven percentage points. Combined, these two necessities absorbed 56% of household expenditure in Vietnam and 52% in Japan.
Turning to the remaining categories, Vietnamese families allocated 18% of their monthly budget to Education and Skill Development, outspending their Japanese counterparts (14%). By contrast, Japanese households directed a larger proportion of their income toward Transport and Healthcare (19% versus 15% in Vietnam) as well as Leisure and Other items (15% compared to 11% in Vietnam).
